The Brooks Catsup Bottle Water Tower reaches 170 feet in height and holds 100,000 gallons of water, with a red and white exterior design reflecting a catsup bottle.
The W.E. Caldwell Company constructed this structural landmark in 1949 to supply water for the Brooks catsup manufacturing plant of G.S. Suppiger Company.
The water tower represents mid-20th century roadside architecture and received recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in August 2002.
Visitors can locate this architectural structure at 800 South Morrison Avenue, near Route 159, with parking spaces available for photography opportunities.
Local volunteers raised 80,000 dollars in the 1990s to restore and maintain this tower, which equals the capacity of 640,000 catsup bottles.
