Lucas County Recreation Center

The Lucas County Recreation Center is a sports and recreation complex covering about 70 acres with multiple outdoor facilities. It includes seven baseball diamonds, six tennis courts, a football field, handball courts, walking trails, and more than 57,000 square feet of indoor space with specialized areas.

The complex features Ned Skeldon Stadium, which holds significance in local sports heritage and character. Recently, the stadium offered seating to community members, reflecting its ongoing importance to the region.

The two recreation halls serve as gathering spaces where the community hosts trade shows, weddings, and other celebrations throughout the year. These spaces shape local social life and bring people together for shared events.

The grounds are well laid out for various activities and easy to navigate, with walking trails and open sports fields throughout. The Northwest Ohio Quarter Midget Racing organization operates the race track, so check ahead about when certain areas may be in use.
