Ohev Sholom Temple

Ohev Sholom Temple is a synagogue in Huntington combining Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Byzantine architectural elements. The structure at 949 10th Avenue displays ornamental details across its exterior that reflect these design influences.

The congregation began in 1887 and constructed the current building in 1925 under the architects Meanor & Handloser from Charleston. A major change occurred in 1978 when the group merged with another Jewish synagogue to form a combined organization.
