The Old Masonic Temple is a Colonial Revival building in Trenton completed in 1926 with three stories and six Doric columns across its facade. Inside, five meeting rooms feature different classical column styles, while marble floors and walls display brass Masonic symbols throughout the space.
The temple was built in 1926 as a successor to an earlier Masonic site located on historic battleground land near the Old Barracks. In 2004, the Grand Lodge of New Jersey acquired the building and invested in major restoration work.
The temple served as a gathering place for Freemasons and shaped the social life of Trenton for decades. The meeting rooms still reflect the brotherhood's values today, with symbolic motifs in marble and brass embedded in the floors and walls.
The temple sits near downtown Trenton on Barrack Street and is easy to spot from the street with its distinctive columns. Public events are held today, and accessibility has been improved with added ramps for visitors with mobility needs.
