Originally named Nunnemacher Grand Opera House, Frederick Pabst purchased this venue in 1890, which burned down in 1895 and reopened the same year.
The theater presents numerous performances throughout the year, from classical concerts to contemporary shows, maintaining its role as a center for arts.
The venue features updated facilities with modern elevators, improved ventilation systems, and renovated restrooms while preserving its historical architecture.
German architect Otto Strack incorporated advanced fireproofing techniques in the 1895 reconstruction, making it one of the safest theaters of that period.
