Pizzitola Sports Center

Pizzitola Sports Center is a multi-purpose facility located at 233 Hope Street that provides indoor tennis courts covered by a specialized fiberglass roof and dedicated squash courts for competition. The venue serves as a training and competition hub for Brown University's athletic programs across multiple sports.

The facility opened in 1989 as a replacement for the older Marvel Gymnasium that previously served the university's athletic needs. Its construction marked an important upgrade to Brown University's sports infrastructure at that time.

The building houses training facilities and competition spaces for Brown University's basketball, volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics, and squash programs.

The center is located on Hope Street and is accessible during regular hours for various events and training activities at Brown University. Visitors should confirm opening times in advance, as the facility primarily serves the university community.

The lobby contains a dedication to John Heisman, while the main facility received a $2 million contribution from the Pizzitola family in memory of their son.
