Nelson W. Aldrich House, Federal architecture mansion in College Hill, Providence, United States.

The Nelson W. Aldrich House features three stories with wooden clapboard exterior, corner quoining, and a portico supported by Doric columns at 110 Benevolent Street.

Constructed in 1821 by architect John Holden Greene for Robert S. Burroughs, the house later became the residence of Senator Nelson W. Aldrich until 1915.

The Rhode Island Historical Society maintains the property as a museum, presenting exhibitions that document the state's development through various time periods.

Visitors can schedule guided tours of the house through the Rhode Island Historical Society to explore the Federal architecture and learn about political history.

The residence connects to the Rockefeller family through Aldrich's daughter Abby, who married John D. Rockefeller Jr. and named their son after the senator.
