Rocky Hill Meeting House

Rocky Hill Meeting House is a two-story timber building with a gabled roof in Amesbury that shows typical features of Federal-style construction from around 1785. The structure includes a three-sided gallery, original windows and doors, and an interior that reflects the craftsmanship of the early building period.

The building was constructed in 1785 as a gathering place for the West Parish of Salisbury and played an important role in the religious life of the early community. Throughout its long history it remained a significant local meeting place and retained its original purpose across the centuries.
