Roxbury Presbyterian Church
Roxbury Presbyterian Church, Gothic Revival church in Roxbury, US.
The Roxbury Presbyterian Church displays asymmetrical massing with polygonal sections and features a northwest tower that rises from a square base to a pyramidal roof.
The Gilchrist brothers, owners of the Gilchrist Department Store, contributed half of the construction costs for the church building completed in 1892.
The church building combines architectural elements from both Gothic Revival and Queen Anne styles, constructed with Roxbury pudding stone and decorated with stained glass windows.
Located at 328 Warren Street in Boston, the Presbyterian church maintains regular worship services and community programs under the leadership of Pastor Liz Walker.
The structure received recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, marking its centennial year of serving the Roxbury neighborhood.
