Schlitterbahn Kansas City, Water park in Kansas City, United States.
Schlitterbahn Kansas City was a water park on roughly 40 acres in Kansas City. The grounds held several slides, wave pools, and recreation zones connected by landscaped paths and planted areas.
The park opened in 2009 on the former Wyandotte County Fairgrounds and represented the first expansion of the brand outside Texas. Several attractions came from the closed Geauga Lake in Ohio and were reassembled at this location.
Schlitterbahn Kansas City integrated regional design elements and offered seasonal community events for Kansas residents seeking summer entertainment.
The water park operated during warm months and offered changing rooms, lockers, and several dining areas on site. Access came from Interstate 435 with a large parking lot near the entrance.
Three major water attractions in the park came from the former Geauga Lake amusement park in Ohio, adding established rides to the new facility.
