Seacoast Region, Coastal region in southeastern New Hampshire, United States.

The Seacoast Region extends 18 miles along the Atlantic Ocean from the Massachusetts border to the Piscataqua River at the Maine border.

European settlers established their first permanent settlements in New Hampshire within this region during the early seventeenth century, marking the beginning of colonial development.

The region contains ten distinct communities, including Portsmouth with its maritime museums, Dover with its science centers, and Hampton with its entertainment venues.

Visitors can access the region via Route 1A along the shore, while the Amtrak Downeaster train service connects major coastal towns to Boston and Portland.

The Isles of Shoals archipelago, consisting of White, Seavey, Lunging, and Star Islands, sits at the maritime border between New Hampshire and Maine.
