Rye Harbor State Park, State park on Atlantic Ocean in Rye, US.

Rye Harbor State Park is a 63-acre coastal park in Rye, New Hampshire, featuring rocky cliffs and ocean views extending to the Isles of Shoals. The site includes picnic areas, restrooms, and pavilions spread across the Ragged Neck peninsula.

The park was established in 1936 and features a monument honoring Captain John Smith's coastal exploration in 1614. This historical landmark connects the area to early European exploration of the Atlantic coast.

The park serves as a gathering place where local residents and visitors come together for celebrations and community events. You can see how the landscape naturally draws people to spend time together in this seaside setting.

The park opens at sunrise and closes at sunset daily, with metered parking available through late October. Restroom facilities and picnic tables are on-site to make your visit comfortable.

Leashed dogs are welcome from November through April, but the park prohibits pets entirely during summer months. This seasonal policy allows year-round visits for dog owners during quieter times of the year.
