Taylor University is a Christian college in Upland, Indiana, spread across roughly 385 hectares with faculty buildings, residence halls, and sports facilities. Extensive tree cover and green spaces run through the campus, offering areas for environmental studies and recreation.
The college was founded in 1846 as Fort Wayne Female College and moved to Upland in 1893. There it received its current name in honor of Methodist bishop William Taylor, who worked in the late 19th century.
