The Belnord, Renaissance Revival apartment building in Upper West Side, United States.

The Belnord is a Renaissance Revival apartment building on the Upper West Side that stretches across an entire city block. Inside, it contains a large private courtyard with gardens and a restored fountain at its center.

This residential structure was completed in 1908 by the architectural firm Hiss and Weekes as a significant addition to Manhattan's early 20th-century development. It was later added to the National Register of Historic Places and received New York City Landmark status.

The building earned recognition on the National Register of Historic Places and received New York City Landmark status for its architectural significance.

This is a private residential building, so visiting the interior courtyard is not possible for guests. You can admire the Renaissance Revival exterior and decorated entrance gates from the street.

Original frescoes and Arabic-inspired ornaments remain visible at the porte-cochère entrance, where gilded wrought-iron gates greet residents. These handcrafted details from the building's early years are a rare example of Edwardian-era craftsmanship.
