The Warehouse, Art gallery in Downtown Syracuse, United States
The Warehouse is an eight-floor art and education center in downtown Syracuse with galleries, artist studios, and learning facilities. The building encompasses 135,000 square feet of space and houses specialized areas for communications design and fashion design on different floors.
The building was originally constructed in the 1920s as a storage facility for Dunk and Bright Furniture Company. A major renovation between 2005 and 2006 transformed it into a cultural and educational space.
The ground floor gallery presents contemporary art from local, national, and international artists in rotating exhibitions throughout the year. Visitors can encounter diverse artistic perspectives and working styles from different regions.
The facility is organized with clear sections for different programs and disciplines spread across multiple floors. Visitors can easily navigate the space and explore galleries and studios according to their interests.
The facility was renamed in 2013 to honor the chancellor who launched its transformation into an educational hub. Her vision shaped how the historic building now serves the local arts community.
