AXA Towers, Commercial office towers in Syracuse, New York, United States
AXA Towers are two 19-story office buildings in downtown Syracuse standing 268 feet (82 meters) tall. They feature a steel and glass curtain wall facade with a tube-in-tube structural system designed to house corporate offices and commercial space.
The buildings were originally constructed by Carrier Corporation in 1966 and 1971 as corporate headquarters. They received their current name in 2004 when AXA acquired the MONY Group and renamed the property.
The towers display digital time and temperature readings that serve as everyday reference points for residents navigating downtown. These practical signals have become part of how locals orient themselves in the city.
The buildings are centrally located and easy to spot from various vantage points around downtown. Visitors can appreciate the exterior architecture, and the lit features become particularly noticeable after dark.
The west tower features a weather beacon on its roof that combines with illuminated corporate logos to create distinctive marks on the night sky. This blend of function and visual identity makes the towers recognizable landmarks.
