Turkey Swamp Park

Turkey Swamp Park is a county park in Freehold Township spanning over 2,000 acres of woodland with a lake and multiple trails. The grounds offer camping, hiking, and recreation opportunities for various types of visitors.

The area took its name from the Adelphia region and gained its current shape through land acquisitions in the 1960s and 1970s. These expansions transformed it into the present-day recreation and conservation area.

The archery range with seven stations here hosts instruction and group activities throughout the year.

The camping area has 64 wooded sites with pull-through spaces, modern facilities, and options for tents, RVs, and cabins. Visitors should arrive early in the day as popular spots fill quickly.

The grounds feature vegetation typical of the Pine Barrens ecosystem, including pitch pines, oaks, bracken ferns, and wild blueberry plants. This rare forest type combination makes the park's ecosystem especially valuable.
