Medusa is a steel roller coaster without a floor, where riders' feet dangle freely throughout the journey. The ride features vertical loops, corkscrews, and cobra rolls arranged along its track.
This attraction opened in 1999 as the world's first floorless roller coaster. It was briefly renamed Bizarro in 2009 before returning to its original name in 2022.
The name comes from Greek mythology, referencing the Gorgon Medusa. Its green color and winding path suggest a serpent moving through space.
The coaster accommodates up to 32 riders per train and requires a minimum height from guests. Storage lockers are available for personal items before you board.
This coaster was built by Bolliger & Mabillard, a Swiss manufacturer known for pushing roller coaster design forward. When it opened, the floorless technology was so novel that it became the blueprint for similar rides around the world.
