Built in 1910, the clubhouse was a gift from United Shoe Machinery Corporation management to employees, operating as a social center on 300 acres.
The building represents early 20th-century industrial philanthropy through its function as a gathering space for manufacturing workers and community events.
Currently operating as the Beverly Golf and Tennis Clubhouse, the facility maintains 168 acres of recreational space for public use.
The structure earned National Register of Historic Places designation in 1982 through reference number 82000484, preserving its architectural legacy.
