Villa Loretto is a three-story H-shaped building situated on an 18-acre property in Westchester County. The structure has been transformed into residential condominiums now called Villa at the Woods.
The Sisters of the Good Shepherd built Villa Loretto in 1928 to provide housing and support services for young women. The facility closed in 1975 and was later adapted for new purposes.
The name Villa Loretto reflects the religious mission tied to the building's original purpose. Visitors can still notice architectural details that speak to this spiritual heritage when walking through the property.
