Holy Trinity Church Rectory and Convent

The Holy Trinity Church Rectory and Convent features Romanesque architecture with rounded arches, decorative arcading, and substantial masonry work at the intersection of Main and Chestnut Streets.

Following a devastating fire in 1932, the community quickly secured funding for reconstruction, leading to the completion of the Art-Deco building in 1933.

The building houses the final large pipe organ manufactured by the Hinners Organ Company of Pekin, Illinois, installed in 1934 and used until 1989.

The religious complex occupies less than one acre of land at coordinates 40.4775°N and -88.9836°W, providing services to the Catholic community of Bloomington.

The March 2024 designation as a local landmark by the Bloomington Commission reinforces the preservation efforts of this National Register of Historic Places site.
