Cataract Falls Covered Bridge, Wooden covered bridge in Jennings Township, US.

The Cataract Falls Covered Bridge extends 140 feet across Mill Creek, featuring a Smith's High Double Wood Truss design with red painted exterior walls.

Built in 1876 by the Smith Bridge Company from Toledo, Ohio, this bridge replaced an earlier structure that had been destroyed by flooding.

The bridge represents the engineering methods of 19th-century American bridge builders who developed wooden truss systems for crossing waterways.

Since 1988, the bridge serves as a pedestrian walkway within the Lieber State Recreation Area, allowing visitors to cross Mill Creek safely.

This structure remains the only covered bridge in Owen County and stands near a waterfall, combining historical architecture with natural elements.
