Nevius Street Bridge

Nevius Street Bridge is an iron structure in New Jersey that crosses the Raritan River using a double-intersection Pratt through-truss design. The bridge connects River Road in Hillsborough with the Raritan River Greenway and accommodates pedestrians only today.

The structure was built in 1886 by an Ohio-based company to replace a wooden bridge that had stood at this location since 1840. It was later added to the national register of historic places for its engineering significance.

This structure links two communities and serves as a walking route for people exploring the riverbank and greenway today. It remains a visible symbol of the connection between Hillsborough and Raritan that has lasted for generations.
