Brookfield Center Historic District, National historic district in Brookfield, United States.
The Brookfield Center Historic District contains 67 buildings spread across 43 acres at the junction of Route 133 and Route 25.
The area became a settlement around 1700 and received parish status in 1754, incorporating sections from Danbury, New Milford, and Newtown communities.
The district features buildings in different architectural styles, including Greek Revival, Queen Anne, and Bungalow designs from the 18th through 20th centuries.
Visitors can find the old town hall, Congregational Church, Saint Joseph Church, Elementary School, and various residential structures within the district boundaries.
The Curtis School for Boys gymnasium from 1907 now functions as the Brookfield Theatre for the Arts, displaying Rustic Style architecture.
