New Haven Jewish Home for the Aged

The New Haven Jewish Home for the Aged is a nursing home on Davenport Avenue built with Beaux-Arts architecture featuring brick, steel, and concrete materials. The facility sits west of Yale-New Haven Hospital at the corner of Davenport Avenue and Asylum Street.

The facility was founded in 1914 by the Sisters of Zion and relocated to its current building in 1923. It gained National Register of Historic Places status in 1979.

The facility represents the second organization of its type in Connecticut, serving elderly Jewish residents from southern Connecticut and extending into New York City.
