Lincoln Homestead and Cemetery

The Lincoln Homestead features a two-story brick structure with five bays, a side-gable roof, and detailed wooden cornices with Wall-of-Troy molding and dentils.

Jacob Lincoln, the great uncle of President Abraham Lincoln, constructed this residence around 1800, and the property remained in the Lincoln family until 1874.

The family cemetery on the grounds contains graves of five Lincoln generations, including Virginia John Lincoln, the great-grandfather of President Abraham Lincoln.

While the cemetery remains open to public access through the north entrance along old Route 42, the main house requires scheduled appointments as it functions as a private residence.

The property underwent extensive restoration between 2019 and 2021, incorporating digital elements such as 3D models that demonstrate the original appearance during the Lincoln era.
