Hartford Times Building, Newspaper headquarters building in Hartford, United States
The Hartford Times Building features green granite Ionic columns and a recessed porch decorated with allegorical scenes on Prospect Street.
The structure, completed in 1920 by architect Donn Barber, functioned as the headquarters for the Hartford Times newspaper until its closure in 1976.
Four United States presidents delivered campaign speeches from the building steps, including John F. Kennedy during his final electoral campaign.
The building now functions as part of the University of Connecticut campus following extensive reconstruction work completed in 2017.
The six green granite columns at the entrance were salvaged from the demolished Madison Square Presbyterian Church in New York.
