Travelers Tower, Neoclassical skyscraper in Hartford, United States
The Travelers Tower rises 527 feet above downtown Hartford with its classical stone facade and decorative architectural elements spanning 34 floors.
Completed in 1919 under architect Donn Barber's direction, this building ranked as the seventh tallest structure in the United States at that time.
The tower stands as a symbol of Hartford's position as an insurance industry center, housing the headquarters of Travelers Companies since its construction.
The building includes six elevators that transport occupants through its multiple floors, with an observation deck located on the twenty-seventh level.
Peregrine falcons have established nesting sites at the tower's summit, monitored through specialized cameras that document their activities.
