Sunset Park

Sunset Park is a green space located between Fifth and Seventh Avenues in the Sunset Park neighborhood, featuring multiple playgrounds, sports fields, and a recreation facility. The grounds stretch from 41st to 44th Street and include an Olympic-size pool, basketball and handball courts, plus fitness equipment.

The City of Brooklyn first acquired this land in 1891, later expanding it southward to 44th Street in 1904. These additions were part of a broader effort to develop public green spaces across the borough.
