Rocko's Diner, Classic diner in Mission, Canada.
Rocko's Diner is a 1950s-style restaurant on Lougheed Highway in Mission, British Columbia, serving breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and a wide range of milkshakes. The interior is fitted with classic booths, counter seating, and decor that recalls the American diner tradition.
The place opened in 1956 as Mission's first drive-in restaurant, known then as Hi-Lite Burger Bar. It was rebranded as Rocko's Diner in 1986 and has kept much of its original character since then.
The diner was used as a filming location for the TV series Riverdale, and some milkshakes on the menu carry the names of characters from the show. Visitors who know the series often recognize the setting as soon as they walk in.
The restaurant is open around the clock and also offers delivery and curbside pickup for those who prefer not to dine in. The whole space is wheelchair accessible, so getting around inside is straightforward.
Although the series Riverdale is set in a fictional American small town, the diner scenes were actually filmed here in Mission, British Columbia. Many fans travel to see it without realizing the location is in Canada.
