St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church

St. Peter and Paul Church is a Catholic parish church in Andermatt featuring Baroque architecture with elaborate interior decoration and craftsmanship. The main altar was created by Johannes Ritz, and the building has multiple chapels alongside its central worship space.

Construction began in 1602 and the church took over the role of St. Kolumban in 1606 as the valley's main place of worship. At the end of the 17th century, architect Bartholomäus Schmid enlarged the building to serve the growing local population.
