Damp

Damp is a seaside resort on the Baltic coast with four kilometers of sandy beach and various recreational facilities right at the water. The area offers swimming areas, sports grounds, and several restaurants along the shore.

The area began developing as a seaside resort in the mid-20th century, transforming from a small fishing village into a modern coastal destination. This shift brought new hotels and visitor infrastructure to the region.

The resort shows Northern German coastal traditions in its buildings and food, with regular events celebrating the sea and its heritage.

Hotels and holiday homes are available year-round, many with direct access to indoor pools and wellness areas. The long beach provides plenty of space even when busy, and all main services are easy to find.

The place is home to Dampland, a themed park with Viking elements where visitors can experience Norse culture and stories. This is an attraction you won't find at other Baltic resorts.
