Palmengarten

Palmengarten is a botanical garden in Frankfurt's Westend district featuring multiple greenhouses, themed gardens, and connected lakes linked by winding pathways. The sprawling grounds contain specialized indoor spaces with carnivorous plants and American pineapple collections distributed across different wings of the main building.

The garden began in 1868 when Frankfurt citizens gathered tropical plants from the Duchy of Nassau and opened to the public in 1871. This project reflected the city's growing interest in exotic plants and scientific collections.
