Bergkloster Bestwig

Bergkloster Bestwig is a Benedictine monastery set on elevated ground featuring two guest houses with about 47 rooms accommodating up to 80 visitors. The complex also contains a vocational college and residential spaces for senior sisters.

The monastery was established between 1965 and 1971 as the mother house for the European Province of the Sisters of St. Mary Magdalene Postel. This foundation reflected the organization of religious communities during the late 20th century.
