Talbrücke Nuttlar, Road bridge in Bestwig, Germany

The Talbrücke Nuttlar is a curved steel-composite girder bridge carrying the A46 motorway 660 metres over the Schlebornbach valley near Nuttlar. Its deck is 28.60 metres wide and rests on seven spans, with six pairs of slightly inward-leaning piers up to 108 metres high linked by crossbeams. The valley floor is crossed 115 metres below, the highest bridge clearance in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The first sod for the Velmede–Nuttlar motorway section was turned on 4 September 2009. The piers stood by March 2013, the deck was built from the east and reached its final 660-metre length on 27 September 2013. The bridge opened to traffic in November 2019, once the link road to the Bestwig/Nuttlar junction was finished.

The bridge became a venue before it opened: on 29 September 2019 the "A46-Run" sent 1,922 runners and walkers over the deck at distances of 5, 10 and 20 km. It has also appeared on screen, in scenes for the Norwegian film Børning 3 with Henning Baum and Alexandra Maria Lara, and in season 49 of Alarm für Cobra 11, filmed in autumn 2019 while the span was still closed.

The bridge is part of the motorway and accessible only to vehicle traffic, not pedestrians or cyclists. You can view the structure from the roadside or from viewpoints in the surrounding area.

On 29 September 2019, before the bridge opened to traffic, the A46-Run race and hiking event sent 1,922 participants across the deck at distances of 5, 10 and 20 km. The unfinished A46 section also served as a filming location for the Norwegian film Børning 3, with German actors Henning Baum and Alexandra Maria Lara.
