The building represents the constraints placed on architecture during the 1930s, as authorities rejected the initial flat roof design in favor of traditional German styles.
The garage, added in 1936, sits partially underground and functions as a foundation for the terrace, allowing efficient use of the limited space.
Despite financial limitations during construction, the owners selected a timber building method that has proven durable for over eight decades.
