Basilika Ottobeuren

The basilica features three sequential domes, white walls with gold accents, and intricate Rococo decorations throughout its grand interior spaces.

The monastery was established in 764 by Blessed Toto, later gaining status as an imperial abbey in 1299 with direct authority under the Holy Roman Empire.

The church holds weekly concerts using its historic organs, including a double organ built by Karl Joseph Riepp during the 18th century.

Located near Memmingen in Bavaria, the basilica opens daily for visitors to explore its 250 rooms, 20 halls, and six courtyards.

Four glass coffins containing decorated skeletons are displayed within the basilica, representing a distinct perspective on mortality.
