St. Andreas, Romanesque Revival church in Leverkusen-Schlebusch, Germany.

St. Andreas is a parish church in the Schlebusch district of Leverkusen with two soaring towers reaching approximately 37 meters in height that dominate the building. The interior follows a three-nave basilica layout with rounded arches throughout, characteristic of Romanesque Revival design.

The original parish church was documented in records as early as 1135 and initially stood in Schlebuschrath before relocating to its current location in 1810. The building that stands today was constructed in 1888, replacing an earlier chapel on the same site.

The church is dedicated to Saint Andreas and displays Romanesque Revival style with characteristic rounded arches and thick stone walls. Visitors can still appreciate the craftsmanship that local builders invested in the structure.

The church is usually accessible to visitors during daytime hours, and the best times to explore are outside of services and religious ceremonies. It is advisable to check local information before visiting to learn about opening hours and any possible restrictions.

The bell collection includes ten bells, making it one of the largest bell sets in the Archdiocese of Cologne. This substantial number allows for rich sound variations that become apparent during special occasions.
