Tressow Castle, Historical château in Bobitz, Germany.
Tressow Castle is a late classicist manor house standing on a hill south of Tressower Lake, built with traditional architectural details and substantial stonework. The building now contains vacation apartments, event halls, and operates as a hotel and wedding venue.
The manor house was built in 1865 and initially belonged to the von Schulenburg family, a noble lineage of the region. After decades of family ownership, it was later transformed into a hotel while keeping most of its historical character.
The castle functions as a venue for local celebrations and weddings, bringing together community gatherings in spaces that blend history with present-day use. Residents and visitors experience the building as a living place where traditions are marked and remembered.
The castle sits on a hilltop that is easy to reach and can be visited as a guest staying overnight or rented for private events. A golf course is nearby, and the Baltic coast is a short drive away.
Architect Georg Daniel designed this manor using late classicist principles, and the combination of private residence and public event venue under one roof remains unusual. This dual role allows visitors and residents to experience the blending of private and communal space as part of daily life.
