Saarlouis Alter Friedhof, Historic cemetery and architectural monument in Saarlouis, Germany.
The cemetery spans 1.7 hectares with over 600 graves arranged in different sections, including military, Jewish, and general burial areas.
Established in 1773 following the closure of an earlier burial ground, this cemetery served the fortress town of Saarlouis until 1997.
The site contains graves of German, Russian, Italian, and French soldiers, reflecting the international military history of Saarlouis.
The cemetery includes paved pathways throughout its grounds, with a morgue building that now functions as an information center.
A monument marks the resting place of 87 victims from the 1916 Redoute Choisy ammunition depot explosion.
