Aqua Magica, Landscaped park in Bad Oeynhausen and Löhne, Germany
Aqua Magica is a spacious park spreading across about 20 hectares and connecting Bad Oeynhausen with Löhne. The grounds feature water gardens, natural biotopes, and a network of walking paths that encourage exploration and strolls.
The grounds were designed by French landscape architects in 1999 and developed for a major regional garden exhibition in 2000. Emerging from that event, the park has evolved into a permanent space for recreation and activities.
The park hosts a variety of events throughout the year that draw local performers and visitors together. You can experience outdoor music performances and art exhibitions that take place in different seasons.
The grounds are easily walkable and the trail system allows you to choose routes based on your time and interests. The best time to visit is from April to October, when all attractions are operating.
The heart of the park is an 18-meter-deep water basin that conceals an underground fountain sculpture. This creation shoots water streams that leap above the basin edge at regular intervals, forming geometric patterns.
