Tromm

Tromm is a mountain summit in the Odenwald range at about 577 meters, offering views across the Weschnitztal valley and the surrounding region. The peak is topped by an observation tower that extends the viewing experience for visitors.

The first observation tower was built on the summit in 1890 and later replaced in 1910 with a 27-meter-tall structure. The current tower reflects the site's ongoing importance as a destination.

The name references the local geography and the region through which people have traveled for generations. The mountain holds significance for nearby communities as a landmark that defines their surrounding landscape.

The summit can be reached via several hiking trails, with parking available near the restaurants on the mountain. Sturdy footwear is recommended, as the trails vary in difficulty.

The observation platform completed in 2022 features approximately 190 steps leading to a circular platform. The modern design and construction provide visitors with a contemporary experience at this historic peak.
