Klosterhof 28, Medieval baker's house in Maulbronn, Germany.

Klosterhof 28 is a timber-framed building within the Maulbronn Monastery complex that combines a sandstone ground floor with projecting roof sections and exposed floor beams on the upper levels. The structure displays early 16th-century construction methods with handcrafted wooden elements that remain visible as integral design features.

The building was constructed around 1520 as the monastery's bakery to supply the monastic community with bread. The ground floor also housed animals needed by millers and bakers during their daily work.

The structure displays regional building traditions through its timber frame and carved decorations on corner posts. These handcrafted details shape the courtyard's appearance today and reflect the craft practices that existed within the monastery.

The building is part of the Maulbronn Monastery complex, which remains open to visitors throughout the year with seasonal operation hours. The best time to explore is in good weather when the timber details and courtyard layout are fully visible.

A covered staircase on the gable side provides access to the upper floor while preserving the timber framework as a deliberate design element. This approach demonstrates an early appreciation for exposing craftsmanship that typically stays hidden.
