Koncerthuset

Koncerthuset is a concert hall in Ørestad with a main auditorium seating approximately 1,800 people. The building contains four performance spaces, three recording studios, a restaurant, and shops serving visitors and performers.

The Danish Broadcasting Corporation opened this concert hall in January 2009 as a modern cultural facility. Queen Margrethe II presided over the inaugural ceremony, marking an important moment for Danish music and broadcasting.

The venue serves as home to the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, which performs here regularly and shapes Copenhagen's musical life. Audiences come from across the region to experience concerts in this modern space.

The venue is easily reached via DR Byen metro station, which connects directly to the building. Multiple levels and entrances help visitors navigate between the different performance spaces and amenities.

The building was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and features a distinctive cable-net facade that covers thousands of square meters. This striking structural design gives the concert hall a memorable appearance that sets it apart in the modern district.
