Sæbygård, Renaissance castle near Sæby, Denmark
The main building of Sæbygaard stands as a brick structure with a central risalit and features a courtyard enclosed by two lower buildings and a wall.
After the Danish Reformation in 1536, Sæbygaard transferred from the Børglum diocese to the Danish crown before Admiral Otte Rud acquired it in 1560.
The museum within Sæbygaard exhibits an extensive collection of portraits and furniture that spans three centuries of Danish noble living.
Visitors can join guided tours every Wednesday in July, while special arrangements for visits are possible from September through May by contacting the museum.
The castle's stair tower displays an unusual architectural feature where the bricks are carefully arranged to create the appearance of ashlar masonry.
