St. Catherine's Church, Pärnu

The church features a central dome with four smaller turrets and a western tower crowned by a needle-pointed spire adorned with baroque decorations.

Constructed between 1764 and 1768, the church received its name from Empress Catherine the Great who presented it to the city after her visit.

The church interior displays an iconostasis designed by architect P. Jegorov, representing traditional elements of Russian Orthodox religious architecture.

Visitors can access the church daily from June through August between 10:15 AM and 4:00 PM, while advance reservations are required from September to May.

The structure stands as the most complete example of baroque church architecture in Estonia, built a century before other Orthodox churches in the region.
