AHHAA, Science center in Tartu, Estonia
The AHHAA Science Center spans 11,156 square meters across multiple floors, featuring over 170 interactive exhibits for scientific exploration and discovery.
The center began as a University of Tartu project in September 1997 and transformed into an independent foundation managed by the city and university in 2004.
The Science Theatre presents regular demonstrations of scientific phenomena through experiments incorporating chemistry, physics, and natural sciences for Estonian and international visitors.
Located at Sadama 1 in Tartu, the center operates from Thursday to Sunday with extended weekend hours and offers different admission rates for adults, students, and families.
The facility contains the first hybrid planetarium in the Baltic states, combining optical and digital projections through a MEGASTAR system with a glass floor for extended viewing.
