Võidu sild, Tartu, Road bridge in Tartu, Estonia
Võidu sild is a concrete road bridge that crosses the Emajõgi River and links Vabaduse Avenue to Narva Road. It serves as a main traffic route through Tartu and carries significant daily vehicle flow across the waterway.
The bridge was constructed in 1957 during the Soviet era, replacing an earlier pontoon structure from 1933. This concrete design reflected the modernization efforts of the period and continues to serve the city today.
The bridge serves as a gathering point during the Emajõe festival, where residents participate in community celebrations throughout the year.
The bridge forms part of the Estonian national road 3 and provides vehicular access across the Emajõgi for commuters and travelers. Pedestrians can also use the designated walkways to cross the river safely.
The bridge stands at an elevation of 35 meters above sea level and maintains its original architectural features from the 1950s Soviet design.
