Nou Mestalla, Football stadium in Valencia, Spain.
Nou Mestalla is an unfinished stadium project in the Benicalap neighborhood of Valencia, Spain, designed to eventually hold more than 60,000 spectators. The site currently consists mostly of concrete foundations and a rough skeleton that hints at the future shape of the arena.
Construction began in 2007 with the aim of creating a new home for Valencia CF. The project came to a halt in 2009 due to financial difficulties and has since been resumed only sporadically.
The campaign slogan "Nuevo Mestalla Ja!" appears regularly on banners at the current stadium, expressing supporters' desire to finally move into a modern home. These messages show how deeply fans remain emotionally tied to the project and how eager they are to see it completed.
The construction site sits near Beniferri metro station on lines 1 and 2, which provide direct links to central Valencia. There are currently no visitor facilities on site, as the area remains closed to the public.
Parts of the original industrial site were integrated into the foundations, connecting the history of the location with the planned sports venue. This reuse of old materials was intended to serve as a symbol of continuity and give the project a local identity.
