Aigualluts, Natural sinkhole in Huesca Province, Spain

The waters from Aneto glacier flow through meadows before cascading into a large chasm at an elevation of 2074 meters above sea level.

The sinkhole has served as a natural water conduit for centuries, channeling waters from the Aneto glacier into the Garonne river basin.

The location carries different names across languages, with Forau d'Aiguallut in Aragonese and Trou du Toro in French reflecting regional linguistic diversity.

Visitors can reach the sinkhole by taking a bus to La Besurta from Llanos del Hospital, followed by a 50-minute hike through marked trails.

The water that disappears into this limestone chasm resurfaces in Val d'Aran before flowing to the Atlantic Ocean through the Garonne River.
